Udaipur Municipal Corporation (UMC) will hold its last board meeting on 4th August. The meeting would be approving number of Infra Projects across city, along with revised taxes on Hotels and small entrepreneurs.

Udaipur Municipal Corporation (UMC) will hold its last board meeting on 4th August. The meeting would be approving number of Infra Projects across city, along with revised taxes on Hotels and small entrepreneurs. The Board is expected to introduce new schemes for BPL (Below Poverty Line) families, as have to face election in November-2014.

Sources informed that in the meeting proposed on Monday, Mayor Rajni Dangi will call for approval on around 20 major infra-projects. The rate of cleanliness taxes levied on Hotels will also increase in ratio with size and standard of hotels.

Sources added that present BJP board will dissolve in next couple of months, as elections of local bodies are scheduled in November 2014. The present board can also announce a new housing scheme for BPL families.

The BJP will also approve revised construction guidelines for residential and commercial buildings, as announced by State government in 2013.

The board has not considered any discussion on providing license to hawkers around city in this meeting, added source.
