Udaipur, December 30, 2024 – Authorities are making adequate preparations for the celebration of New Year's Eve and the New Year in the city. To maintain peace and order throughout the city, special arrangements have been made by the police.

Additional forces will be deployed around crowded areas and tourist spots. Situations around the city will be monitored through the CCTV cameras of the Abhay Command Centre. Teams have been formed at public places, major intersections and roads to enforce law and order, as well as traffic regulations. The aim is to ensure that tourists arriving in the city from across the country and world for the celebrations face no inconvenience.

Tourists from across the country have been flocking to the city since Christmas with educational institutions being closed for the winter vacations. Overseas travellers are flying into the city, too, to enjoy the weather and festive atmosphere. Udaipur is considered a favourite city for a tour during this season. With its lakeside resort and beautiful views of the heritage spots, celebrating New Year’s eve in Udaipur would be a calm and picturesque way to usher in 2025.

Special events are being organised in most of the city's hotels and resorts on December 31 and January 1. All major hotels in the city are fully booked. Small hotels and guest houses have also almost completed their bookings for December 31 and January 1. As a result, tourists are being forced to book resorts or guest houses on the outskirts of the city.
