Immediately after 24 hours of finding a dead newborn mauled by stray dogs at hospital premises, another body of a newborn was found today abandoned near Shilpgram, Havala area.

Ambamata Police has responded and shifted the body to mortuary. According to police, the body is of a female baby, wrapped in a white sheet of cloth with a receipt note attached written, ‘Intra Uterine Death’.

Police is presuming that the baby was died inside the womb and handed over to someone for burial, but due to alleged negligence, the person left the body on roadside.

In the morning today, someone called police control room and informed about the situation, thereafter, police reached the spot and took the body in their custody and shifted to MB Hospital’s mortuary.

Radmal Singh, C. I. Ambamata Police Station, informed UT, “we got the information about the incidence at around 11.30 am, we found a receipt note with the body written ‘Intra Uterine Death’, that means it is not a female feticide case, but just another premature dead baby that was to be buried, but seems that out of negligence it was left at the road side”.
