A couple died and three of their kids got critically injured when the car in which they were travelling rammed into a truck from behind at Narpat ki khedi area of Sadar police station of Chittorgarh district on Thursday.

The impact of the incident was such that the car got completely crushed and the victims were somehow rescued and pulled out from it. On the other hand the driver of the truck fled the scene leaving his truck on the spot.

The Assistant Sub Inspector of Sadar police station Surrender Singh said that Shatrughan Tiwari a resident of Ahmedabad was returning back home from Bihar in their car along with his wife Sarita,and three of his daughter Palak,Payal and Tejasvi after attending a wedding ceremony, as soon as they reached near Narpat ki Khedi area of Chittorgarh their car rammed into a truck from behind. The accident left the couple Shatrughan and Sarita dead on the spot while three of their daughters sustained severe injures that were reffered to M.B hospital of Udaipur.

Singh said that the condition of one of the daughter of the decreased is said to be critical. However the trio of sisters are receiving treatment and kept at the Intensive Care Unit of the hospmortuary, he relatives of the victims has been informed about the mishap and the dead bodies of the couple shifted to mortuary, said ASI Singh.
