"Piyush Singhal Marg" inaugurated - Stretch between Madri Underpass and Road No 2 at MIA named after the renowned business icon from Udaipur

The Udaipur Municipal Corporation officially named the Madri stretch between the underpass and Road #2 after the late Piyush Singhal, founder of Lipi Data Systems Ltd, Udaipur.

The road from Madri Underpass to Road No. 2 at the Madri Industrial Area in Udaipur has been officially named "Piyush Singhal Marg" under the auspices of the Udaipur Municipal Corporation. On behalf of Lipi Data Systems Limited, the plaque of "Piyush Singhal Marg" was unveiled on February 4, 2023 at 4.30 pm.

KG Gupta, Chief Executive Officer of Lipi Data Systems Ltd informed that the plaque "Piyush Singhal Marg" was unveiled by senior members of the Singhal family. The unveiling program was conducted by Mr. Sameer Singhal, Managing Director of Lipi Data Systems Limited. Members of the Singhal family and the staff of Lipi Data were joined by representatives of corporate houses and entrepreneurs of Udaipur and senior and respected citizens of Udaipur to be witness to the unveiling ceremony.

Apart from the road and its adjoining areas, Lipi Data has taken the responsibility of the local neighborhood under its CSR umbrella. The CEO added that Lipi will remain committed to the social and infrastructural development of the area.

Piyush Singhal, who bid farewell to this world on 30 June 2003, was born in Agra on 5 December 1933. He did his schooling at Vidya Bhawan School in Udaipur and did his MA in Political Science and LLB from Allahabad University. His business ventures spread through various verticals, viz. computers and peripherala, data processing and printer manufacturing. His entrepreneurial journey include companies like Singhal Transport, Computeronics India, Singhal Pesticide, Agra and Lipi Data Systems Ltd. He ensured that all of his ventures reach the pinnacle of success. Piyush was among the few who got Udaipur on the global business map, with more than 2,500 people working alongside him in his ventures.

A cheerful person with a social and humanitarian approach, Piyush had an active membership in many industrial and social organizations, in which he used to participate with great enthusiasm. Being comprehensively grounded socially, his contribution to society was immense. He was very interested in classical music, theater and art.
