Over Rs 180 Crore Allocated to Road Development in State
Rs 5.20 crore have been granted for road projects across seven municipalities in Udaipur district
Udaipur, November 21, 2024: The State government has now turned its attention to road development in urban areas after allocating a big budget to streamlining transport in rural areas. Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari has issued administrative and financial approvals amounting to a total of Rs 18,077.76 lakh for 728 road-related projects across 158 urban local bodies under Budget 17.01 for the year 2024-25.
A total of Rs 5.20 crore have been granted for seven municipalities in Udaipur district. This includes Rs 100 lakh each for municipalities of Fatehnagar, Kanod, Bhinder and Rishabhdev, and Rs 40 lakh each for the new municipalities of Kherwara, Vallabhnagar and Mavli. A total of 12 road projects have been proposed for these municipalities.
Similarly, in the Chittorgarh district of Udaipur division, Rs 200 lakh has been approved for the Chittorgarh Municipal Council, Rs100 lakh each for the municipalities of Nimbahera, Rawatbhata, Bari Sadri, Kapasan and Begun, and Rs 40 lakh for the new municipality Akola.
In Rajsamand district, Rs 200 lakh has been approved for Rajsamand Municipal Council, Rs 100 lakh each for the municipalities of Nathdwara, Amet, and Devgarh, and Rs 40 lakh for the new municipality Bhim.
Likewise, in the Banswara division, Rs 200 lakh has been approved for the Banswara Municipal Council, Rs 100 lakh each for the municipalities of Kushalgarh and Partapur-Garhi, Rs 200 lakh for Pratapgarh Municipal Council, Rs 100 lakh each for the municipalities of Chhoti Sadri and Dhariyawad, and Rs 40 lakh for the new municipality Dalot.
