While Udaipur's new Divisional Commissioner seeks VRS, Rajasthan gets 4 fresh faces in the police department
Within 24 hrs of being appointed as the Divisional Commissioner of Udaipur, IAS P Ramesh submitted his request for voluntary retirement to the Chief Secretary of the Government of Rajasthan.
P Ramesh, a 2005 batch IAS officer was the Chairman and Managing Director of Rajasthan Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Ltd, prior to being relieved of his post through transfer orders on 5 October 2020 and given the charge of Divisional Commissioner, Udaipur. This post was earlier held by Vikas Bhale, who has been given the joint charge of Commissioner of Tourism Department and Managing Director of Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation.
As per media reports, P Ramesh, who has 14 years left to retirement, is supposedly unhappy with this transfer and has reportedly approached the Chief Secretary, seeking voluntary retirement.
IAS transfers in Rajasthan
The IAS Officers who have been transferred per orders of the Personnel department of the government of Rajasthan include Aparna Arora, who was the Chief Secy, Minority Affairs and Waqf, Jaipur and has been assigned to the post of Chief Secretary, School Education and Language and Library Department and Panchayati Raj (Department of Primary Education), Hemant Gera (ex-Collector of Udaipur), who held the post of Principal Secretary Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs department has been assigned Principal Secretary, Personnel Department; replacing Roli Singh, who has been transferred to New Delhi as Chief Residential Commissioner of the government of Rajasthan; Udaipur's Divisional Commissioner Vikas Bhale has been assigned the joint charge of Commissioner of Tourism Department and Managing Director of Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation.
Kana Ram, who was the serving as the Collector of Dungarpur, has been transferred as Joint Chief Executive Officer of State Health Assurance Agency, Jaipur. Suresh Kumar Ola, who was serving as Commissioner of Nagar Nigam Jodhpur (South) replaces him as Collector and District Magistrate of Dungarpur. Rohit Gupta, who held the post of District Collector, Udaipur and was on study leave, has rejoined service as Commissioner of Land Management and ex-officio Director, Settlement for the Government of Rajasthan.
Other transferees include Manju Rajpal, Siddharth Mahajan and Vishva Mohan Sharma.
IPS transfers in Rajasthan
Transfer orders of 5 IPS officers within Rajasthan were issued simultaneously, where Kalu Ram Rawat, who was serving as Dy Superintendent of Police (HO and Traffic), Jodhpur has replaced Jai Yadav as Superintendent of Police, Dungarpur. Jai Yadav will now hold the post of SP, CID (CB), Jaipur. Other IPS officers who have been moved around within the law and order fratenity in Jaipur, include Rajiv Kumar Dasot, Bhagwan Lal Soni and Utkal Ranjan Sahu.
Fresh recruits in police services in Rajasthan
Four under trainee officers of the SVPNPA, Hyderabad have been assigned fresh postings in Rajasthan, viz. Rajrishi Raj Verma - Banswara, Vikas Sangwan - Alwar, Amit Kumar - Jhalawad and Kunwar Kanvariya - Bundi.
