GSE Programme: New Zealand Team Visits Udaipur

To acquaint oneself with the Indian culture closely as well as to examine the efforts made in the Tourism sector, a team of 5 members from Rotary International District 9930 of New Zealand reached Udaipur on 2nd January under a Group Study Exchange Programme of Rotary International.

 

To acquaint oneself with the Indian culture closely as well as to examine the efforts made in the Tourism sector, a team of 5 members from Rotary International District 9930 of New Zealand reached Udaipur on 2nd January under a Group Study Exchange Programme of Rotary International.

The team was given a cordial welcome by the officiating members of Rotary Club, Udaipur on its arrival.

Nirmal Kunawat, President of Rotary Club, Udaipur informed that the team will also consist of four non-Rotarians – Mohammed Ateeq and Lusi from the Police department, Andy Harvard, a Radio Jockey and Lawyer, Vendy Beneti. They will carry out their activities under the leadership of Rotarian Libby Gardiner.

Kunawat informed that the team will not stay in any hotel, and will be accommodated at the homes of Rotary members to observe Indian culture closely and therefore they have been staying with P.S.Talesara, Ramesh Chaudhary and Dr. Devendra Sareen at their homes.

Girish Mehta, Club Secretary said that during their four day stay they will be visiting City Palace, Nehru Garden and Moti Magri. Besides, these tourist spots, they will also visit Central Jail, S.S. College of Engineering, ICU and Kidney Care Project at Maharana Bhupal Government Hospital.
