Taiyebiyah School: Surrounding to Improve Soon, says Collector
An area close to a school should be safe, clean and pleasant to give a healthy environment to students but there is an exactly opposite situation near the 100 years old Taiyebiyah School of Udaipur which is surrounded by debris, tobacco selling hawkers and heavy transport vehicles like buses and jeeps ferrying around.
Consequently, the school children are disturbed and it also causes negative impact on their health. Thus the students are affected physically and mentally. In an unfortunate accident that occurred yesterday, a jeep smacked down a 3 year old nursery student of Taiyebiyah School while the kid was crossing the road.
To articulate the matter and raise questions on the role of administration, a press conference was organized today in the school premises under the direction of prominent personalities of the Bohra community and the management of school.
Shabbir Mustafa, one of the trustees of the school highlighted the issue of the land which has been misused by illegal parking, encroachment and selling banned products outside school.
“The prolonged issue of acquisition of the land opposite to the school is still pending in the High Court which the community members are sure to get in their favor. However, in any case, proper law and order should be followed, at least on a humanitarian ground, keeping in mind the existence of school,” said Shabbir Mustafa.
The District Collector has assured to the protesting school authority and the management to take proper step to improve the condition. “The Collector has told us that he will direct the police department to ensure no illegal trade should be done outside the school. He will also ask Municipal Council to shift the garbage container from that place. We hope that the condition of school area will change this time,” added Mustafa.
