Udaipur overflowed by Tourists
Soon after the festival of Diwali, the city of Lakes is filled with hundreds of Gujarati tourists who are here to spend the long vacation. Every tourist spots is seen packed with a buzz of excitement for both tourists, who got fascinated with the beauty of Udaipur and locals, whose businesses are highly depended upon these tourists.

“We can estimate a rise of at least 15% tourists this season in comparison to the last year, the business is obviously flourishing and that’s what we were expecting,” says Anuj a handicraft seller.
As winter is approaching, foreign tourists are also heading towards the city which adds a cultural combination of tourists from all over the world making Udaipur a vacationer’s pilgrimage.

Being a neighboring state, Gujarati has always considered Udaipur the easiest and the best way to spend holidays. Be it a group of students or specific community, lines of buses can be seen parked near Fateh Sagar, Pichola and Saheliyon ki Bari.
A group of school girls from Gujarat has expressed their love for Udaipur saying, “We have never been to a place like Udaipur, it is truly a wonder.”
It is not just sightseeing which is enthralling the crowd of tourists, you can also see them shopping and enjoying Rajasthani food in various specialty restaurants serving Dal Bati Churma etc.
Ashfaq Alam, a local trader says, “The city is booked, every small and big hotel is occupied and at peak hours you cannot even find a place to park your car or book a table in any restaurant.”
All over these are happy moments for Udaipurites as tourism has always remained a main source of livelihood for majority of people who are directly or indirectly depended upon local and foreign tourists visiting Udaipur.
