60-Day Concession Scheme for State Industries
Pollution board is encouraging industries to obtain environmental regulation consent without paying pending fees
Udaipur, November 29, 2024 – The Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board has launched a special concession scheme to encourage industries and establishments. The aim of the scheme is to motivate industries that are already established or are operating under the Water Pollution Prevention and Control Act of 1974 and the Air Pollution Prevention and Control Act of 1981 but have not yet obtained the establishment and operation consent.
Using this scheme, the board wants to encourage industries to obtain consent and promote compliance with environmental regulations.
This scheme’s duration will be 60 days, starting December 1, 2024, and ending January 29, 2025. The concession will be applicable to industries falling under the Red, Orange and Green categories as per the State's classification by the Board.
According to the scheme, these units will not have to pay pending fees for the years during which they operated without valid consent from the State Board.
These industries must apply for establishment and operation consent during the above-mentioned period, following the process fees stipulated under the Water Act of 1974 and the Air Act of 1981.
