Best Citizen Co-operative Bank Award for The Udaipur Urban Co-operative Bank Ltd, Udaipur
UUCB was honored with the National Level Citizen Bank award (second) in the Rs 750-1000 Cr Deposits Category, by BANCO Magazine
The Udaipur Urban Co-operative Bank Limited, one of the premium Banking institutions of Udaipur and Rajasthan has been honored with the second-best National Citizen Co-operative Bank Award in the bank category with deposits ranging from Rs. 750 - 1000 Crores for the year 2021-22. This has brought laurels to the Rajasthan Co-operative movement at a national level.
Tauseef Hussain, Chairman of The Udaipur Urban Co-operative Bank (UUCB) informed that the National-level and prestigious magazine, BANCO, which publishes the collection of Reserve Bank of India's circulars related to co-operative banking, organizes the Bank Blue Ribbon Award annually to recognize and honor the progress and work of various citizen co-operative banks across the country.
This year, the Bank Blue Ribbon Award 2022 was held from 27 February to 1 March 2023 at Mahabaleshwar, Maharashtra. The Chief Guest of the event was Jyotindra Mehta, Chairman of National Federation of Urban Co-operative Banks and Credit Societies (NAFCUB). The three-day event held at Evershine Resort, Mahabaleshwar was attended by Aftab Gul Attari, Vice Chairman of UUCB, Directors Asif Masood Shah, Sabiha Zari and Zarina Iqbal accompanied by the Addl Chief Executive Officer Samina Mehmooda and the IT Manager Naseem Ali.
Chief Executive Officer of UUCB, Qutubuddin Sheikh, said that many cooperative banks in the country had applied for this award this year. Among the applicants, The Udaipur Urban Co-operative Bank Ltd. was declared the best Co-operative bank in the country in the category of banks with deposits between Rs. 750-1000 Cr and was awarded the second prize in the Citizen Bank category.
He highlighted that the UUCB has introduced many facilities for its customers in banking with new technologies, including IMPS, Green PIN, UPI-BHIM app, Bharat Bill Payment System, the Bank's own IFSC, among others. The bank has used new technology in banking on a real time basis, initiated new facilities at low cost, and made them easily available to customers. It was for this dedication and progress for the last many years and also this year, that the bank was honored at the national level.
