Renault Duster will soon be discontinued in India

India's most popular compact SUV's production to be halted by October 2021.

What will happen once the car goes off shelves in India?

Does the company have other plans for its customers who have the vehicle in their buying list?

India’s most preferred compact SUV Renault Duster is soon to be discontinued in the country. The SUV is on the list of India’s extremely popular vehicles and one is forced to think as to what will happen once the vehicle goes off the shelves.

Reportedly the French automaker has plans of doing away with the Duster from its Indian portfolio. However, the report also says that this is a short term step as the company wants to do away with its current iteration of SUV in India. The last unit of the current Duster will go off the production line in India in October 2021.

This has forced everyone to wonder what would happen once the production really stops in India. Apparently the decision to discontinue the current gen vehicle is driven by the plans to boost profitability and bring the cost down.

News also has it that Renault intends to launch the new-gen Duster SUV in India in the near future. The dates and the exact plans for the new launch have not yet been shared.
