No entry in Mahalakshmi Temple this Diwali
-Maintain 18 feet distance for darshan.
-No mahaprasadi this year.
The pandemic has taken a toll over all the festivals and we do not know how long this situation will last. Until now it has been witnessed that the hustle and bustle of festivals has been forced to take a back seat and people have been quite sad as the festivals are the only time when they really get to enjoy with family and friends.
Entry has been prohibited in the Mahalakshmi Temple this Diwali festival in the wake of pandemic. People are feeling low about this as the festival seems to be incomplete without visiting the temple of Goddess Lakshmi. However there is a provision of online darshan.
The temple at Bhattiyani Chohatta witnesses long queues of devotees every year. People patiently wait for their turns to get the darshan of the Goddess. This year a distance of 18 feet will be maintained for the purpose of darshan. It has also been stated that the regular annkoot mahotsav will not have a mahaprasadi distribution, though mahaprasadi will be prepared.
The shringar of Goddess Mahalakshmi will be done as ever and all the decorations within the temple will be taken care of. What will not be there this year is the traditional system of darshan!! A see-through glass will be installed at the main door so that social distancing norm is not broken.
