17-yr-old Steals cash, Jewelry to Buy Car
Solving the last night case of theft, police has detained a 17-year-old nephew of the house owner Laxmi Chand Ahuja. Prakash (name changed) has accepted of stealing Rs. 2.34 Lacs and 40 Tola Gold ornaments, just to buy a car and to impress his girlfriend.
Solving the last night case of theft, police has detained a 17-year-old nephew of the house owner Laxmi Chand Ahuja. Prakash (name changed) has accepted of stealing Rs. 2.34 Lacs and Gold ornaments, just to buy a car.
Prakash was also the one who intentionally hid the jewelry bag at Bhopalpura ground and later “acted” to find it first, which consequently raised suspicions on him.
According to Tejraj Singh Additional S.P., the accused live in the building adjacent to Laxmichand’s home and after noticing no one inside the room, he jumped the terrace and entered into the room where cash and jewelry were kept.
He then, took out all the ornaments from the boxes and kept the boxes hidden there and took all jewelry in a plastic bag with Rs.2.34 lac cash.
Prakash went back to his house and got puzzled about what to do next? Considering, the jewelry might be seen by his parents, he went down and hid the plastic bag near Municipal Council’s building located at Bhopalpura ground.
Later, when he noticed havoc at his uncle’s house, he joined his relatives and pretended to be unknown.
With regards to the jewelry, Prakash told all his relatives that a mother of his friend, a psychic lady informed him that a bag containing jewelry is kept at Bhopalpura ground.
Upon visiting Bhopalpura ground, the jewelry bag was obviously to be found. This raised doubts on Prakash and when police interrogated him, he coughed out the real story and accepted his crime.
