A new helpline number has been set up where a person can instantly report a cyberfraud incident. In order to stop money from entering a scammer's account, victims of cyber financial fraud can swiftly file a complaint on the 1930 helpline.

One may become conscious of the fraud they are engaging in as a result of the rise in cybercrime cases, but they are typically unable to stop it right away. One can contact help right away by calling this support number. Dr. Amandeep Kapoor, director of CDTI (Central Detective Training Institute), advised victims to call the helpline as soon as possible to make payments and recover their money.

Beware of the cyber fraud

• Do not shut down your computer before logging out of your account.
• Set passwords for every app and mobile.
• Never share PAN card , Aadhaar Card, OTP and other personal credentials with any stranger. 
• Be cautious while using Identity proofs at suspicious places. 
• Check to see if the swipe machine is secure before using it; any protruding item could be a skimmer. 
• Don't send money to unidentified accounts. Always make sure the website's URL starts with HTTPS and has a lock icon to indicate a secure link.
• Be cautious of fake calls, and messages impersonating themselves as recruiters to request personal information. 
• Always keep maximum transaction limit for your bank account.
• Make sure that credit and debit card swipes at fuel stations, and shops are done in your presence, do not give it to salesperson.
