20000 page petition filed in Illegal drug racket in Udaipur
Department of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) today filed a petition in the Rs 3000 Cr illegal Mandrax manufacturing and trading case. The petition was filed in 20000 pages stacked together in 20 bundles. 5000 pages of the petition contain a detail description of the entire investigation.

The petition was filed in the Special court of NDPS. DRI officials presented the case in front of bench of Devendra Kachhawa. During the presentation of case, the prime accused Subhash Dudhani was also present along with other accused.
DRI officials informed that the investigation team collected evidences from multiple sources. The accused had also exported illegal drugs abroad and the team had evidences towards the same. They said that investigation is still going on and in case any additional evidences are found, the same shall be incorporated. The case was presented by Special Public Prosecutor Praveen Khandelwal.
Readers may remember that last October, DRI had confiscated whooping 23.5 Metric tones of illegally manufactured Mandrax from the Kaladwas factory, Udaipur. This was claimed to be largest confiscated stock of Mandrax globally, till date.
The arrested people in this case includes, apart from movie Producer Dudhani, Ravi and Nirmal Dudhani, his nephews, Parmeshvar Vyas, CA and investor, Doodhani’s former partner Anil Malkani and Chemist Atul Mhatre. The accused are still in Police custody where the investigations are on.
