3 arrested for various incidents of theft in Udaipur city
-2 are being searched for by Sukher police.
-The gang has confessed having committed 9 thefts in different areas of the city.
Sukher police arrested 3 out of 5 thieves who confessed to having committed 9 thefts at various places. Police is searching for the 2 absconding criminals.
The arrested are actually auto-rickshaw drivers who turn thieves by night. These auto-rickshaw drivers are Jagdish from Pratapnagar, Sajan from Dhikli, Nathu from Kurabad. The absconding 2 are Bhagwati Khatik and Babulal.
Police got information about these criminals from an informer that they run auto-rickshaws during the day and committ theft during night. Police detained 3 of these and interrogated them after which they confessed that they have targetted 9 different areas till now.
Liquor shops, houses and other shops have been targetted by these thieves. The criminals also said that they went with Bhagwati in a red car to one of the liquor shops which is somewhere between sector 3 and Tekri. They broke the walls and stole the liquor cartons from there. The cartons were sold to a man in Bhindar. Apart from this, they have also targetted other shops and houses under construction and stolen cables and other household stuff and expensives.
