Victim Bhupendra Shrimali alleged that constable Dinesh of Nagaur Distrct who is posted at Mahila police station of Udaipur city demanded a bribe of ₹ 50,000 for removing his parent’s names from a case registered by his wife against the family for demanding dowry, said Adsp Special Unit ACB,Umendra Ojha.
Bhupendra also reported that later the deal was negotiated to ₹35000 and the accused Constable also told that ₹ 5000 would be kept by him and the remaining amount is for the Senior officers, Ojha informed.
The special unit initiated the verification of the complaint on Wednesday. After getting the facts about the complaint an FIR has been registered against the Constable and investigations have begun.
