Anti Corruption tightens it noose - Junior Assistant arrested taking bribe for clearing MNREGA dues

Udaipur ACB arrested a junior assistant officer with the Salumber Panchayat Samiti for accepting a bribe of Rs 8,000 towards settlement of MNREGA dues.
The action happened today morning after teh ACB Udaipur team recorded a complaint from one Ganesh Lal Meena, alleging that the Junior Assistant with Salumber Panchayat Samiti was demanding a bribe of Rs 8,000 to settle a due of Rs 10,500. The ACB team verified the complaint and laid a trap to catch Junior Assistant Mahendra Sharma red handed.
As per Sudhir Joshi, ASP with the Udaipur Anti Corruption Bureau the accused Mahendra was demanding a bribe of Rs 9,000, which was settled at Rs 8,000. Scrutiny of the records and accounts of the accused is underway.
