Bhilwara Crackdown on Illegal Mining: 58 Cases Registered, 15 FIRs Lodged
Administrative authorities of Bhilwara, headed by District Collector Namit Mehta, are purposefully tackling illegal mining through a collaborative campaign with the Bhilwara Police.
The collaborative campaign, led by Namit Mehta annd Dharmendra Singh, Superintendent of Police, Bhilwara has been predominantly successful thus far, resulting in the registration of 58 cases, with FIRs filed in 15 of them.
Among the significant confiscations are a dumper and multiple tractor trolleys that were illegally transporting gravel, as well as 400 tonnes of gravel confiscated Mandalgarh, which was subsequently dumped into a river. The Transport Department has levied a fine of Rs 1.07 lakh for illegal transportation operations. Ongoing surveillance by officials from the Mines Department guarantees that stringent actions are taken against illegal mining efforts, with efforts and commitments being made by the District Collector to maintain the integrity and sustainability of the region's mineral resources.
