Burglars target deserted house at Khanjipeer, sweeps Gold worth Lacs

While the crime graph of the city is rising high again, another case of theft was reported at Surajpol Police Station today morning. A deserted house at Saifee Colony, Khanjipeer was targeted by unidentified burglars when the family was out of Udaipur.

In an initial investigation, around 15-20 tolas of gold jewelry worth more than Rs.6 Lac including a LCD monitor, few important documents, bank debit cards etc have been missing.

According to police, the house owner Ayub Karimjeewala is working in Kuwait while his wife Amatullah and three children have been residing there for past 3 years. The family originally belongs to Dungarpur.

Few days back, Amatullah, with her relatives and children, went to Galiyakot. She had given the house keys to a neighbor.

Today morning, when the neighbor noticed that the house was opened, she immediately informed Amatullah.

Shocked by seeing the condition of her house, Amatullah fell unconscious; she was consoled by her relatives.

Surajpol Police has registered the report and initial investigation found that gold jewelry is stolen including few electronic appliances and a bag containing 4 passports and debit cards.
