Chief Medical Officer arrested for taking bribe

A BCMO was arrested for taking bribe from a data entry operator.

 

Anti Corruption Bureau arrested Block’s Chief Medical Officer (BCMO) for taking a bribe of 1 thousand 5 hundred rupees. Dr. Prithviraj Jingar CMO from Girwa block took this amount for approving a payment voucher.

As per reports, Dr. Jingar was arrested at his residence red-handed. ASP of Anti Corruption Bureau said that they were informed by Mahendra Audichya, a data entry operator of a medical centre in Dabok that Dr. Jingar had asked for bribe for approving a payment voucher. Audichya was asked by Dr. Jingar to deliver a sum of 1500 rupees at his residence around 8 p.m. As directed by ACB team, Audichya reached Dr. Jingar’s residence and gave him the amount. He was immediately arrested by ACB team. The team of ACB even searched through Dr. Jingar’s house and found some property documents there.

It has been informed that there are 23 data entry operators working under Dr. Jingar. His salary is 8500 p.m. which is dispersed once in 3 to 4 months as per budget. He takes bribe for passing any payment voucher. As per Audichya, he had paid almost 8 thousand rupees as bribe 6 months back for having a number of payment vouchers cleared.
