Dead body found at Fatehsagar; deceased was reported missing

A dead body was recovered from Fatehsagar lake today, leading to chaos in the area. A stone was found tied on the feet of the corpse.

As per the police, visitors to the lake noticed a dead body floating on the banks of Fatehsagar, and informed the police. A team from Ambamata Police station reached the area and recovered the dead body of a woman.  The deceased was identified as a resident of the nearby Neemuch Kheda area.  The woman was reported missing a day earlier.

Police informed that the lady had left the house a day earlier and not returned, after which the family registered a missing persons complaint.

Investigations are on to ascertain the cause of death.
