40 year old Government Teacher of Rajsamand district was found dead on Monday in a well situated at Mavli village. The dead body was recovered by the police on the information received about the murderer from the culprits themselves. The body of the deceased teacher was shifted to mortuary where as the trio of murderers was booked under various sections of IPC for abducting the victim and killing him.
The accused were identified as Ratan Lal Gurjar, Mangnia Ram and Udaylal Bheel of Dhoinda village of Rajsamand. Ratan was the tenant of the deceased Nana Lal and was staying at one of Nana Lal’s house on rent. Ratan, on being arrested by the police first revealed that he had planned victim’s murder with an intention to take possession of his house.
He involved Mangnia Ram with him as he Mangnia Ram was already suspecting Nana the former’s fathers death and later they took Uday Lal with them to execute the murder, said Station House Officer of Kankroli Police Station, Vardhichand.
Vardhi further added that Nana Lal’s wife had filled a missing person complaint at the station on Sunday morning and later in the evening she lodged another complaint of her husband’s being kidnapped. She informed the police that Nana lal went to collect rent from Ratan but had not returned home for the whole night. After waiting through the night, she started searching for him and later in the afternoon she took the help of Police.
Upon getting the complaint, Police started their investigations and approached Ratan for interrogation. He was detained by the police at first as victim’s slippers were found outside Ratan’s house. During police interrogation Ratan broke down and accepted his crime. He also revealed the names of 2 of his associates who were later arrested, Vardhichand added.
The accused also revealed that they had kidnapped the victim from Ratan’s rented house and rushed him towards a well situated at Prakashpura area of Mavli village and dumped him inside the well with a motive to kill him.
[Update]: The trio accused are remanded under police custody by the court for 5 days.
