Be aware of any fake job offers you get through calls or text messages from an unknown number

 

The way people hunt for jobs has been fundamentally transformed by the fast rise of information and communication. Nowadays, the majority of job searches are conducted online, which provides opportunities for fraudsters. Job frauds are highly complex scams that frequently include making up job offers. Any organization or brand might be making false employment offers to you. How does this fraud work? 

You posted your resume for a job application on various online job platforms. In this case lots of calls involving job offers will come from different sources to you. These calls could be fake or real. As soon as you agree to take the job, the fraudster will ask for payment in order to secure your position. This is where you become a victim of the fraud. Verify the number or message you receive from the company's or brand's internet portals as soon as you get a job offer. 

Look up information about the firm on its website before applying for a job. Check the company's privacy policies. Online fraudsters are everywhere, offering you fake government positions and huge salary jobs. They are skilled fraudsters who will gain your trust by promising you employment with enormous financial rewards. These kinds of well-paying employment mostly attract people to fall into traps. 

Avoid this Scam:

  • Always double check the phone numbers or text messages you get from any business or brand.
  • Companies generally do not ask for money in order to fix your position in a job.
  • Report the occurrence to the local cybercrime police station and the National Cybercrime Reporting Portal http://cybercrime.gov.in/
