Punjab woman gang raped in Udaipur

Probe underway

 

A 29-year-old woman, who arrived in Udaipur from Punjab to participate in an event, was subjected to a gang rape. She promptly filed a First Information Report (FIR) at the Savina police station, leading to the initiation of an investigation into the matter. In her police report, the victim stated that on October 8th, she arrived in Udaipur to participate in an event scheduled to take place in the Savina area of the city. 

The taxi driver, Bhupendra Patel, introduced her to Narayan Patel, also known as Billa, who was involved with the mentioned event. Narayan took her to his residence in the Amba Fala, Gupteshwar area, under the pretext of providing additional details about the event. Once there, he offered the victim a cup of tea. After consuming it, she lost consciousness. Upon regaining consciousness after a few hours, she discovered herself locked inside a room without any clothes.

In her report she also mentioned that when she knocked the door the accused Narayan opened the gate having a glass of liquor in his hand,he and two of his associate Dinesh and Bhupendra dragged her to the bed and gang raped her, they beaten her up and even done unnatural sex with her. 

They threatened her life and subsequently confined her to the room, declaring that she was to remain at that house from that point forward. 

Deputy Sp Shipra Rajawat the Investigating Officer of the case said "The complaint has been registered by the victim Friday evening after which her medical examination has been done today (Saturday ), but her statement infront of the court is yet to be recorded, while the hunt for the accused named in the case hss also been launched. We will interrogate them too in connection with the incident and thwn further action will be taken accordingly."
 

Shipra further said that the victim had mentioned in her complaint that the incident took place on 21st October, since than she was kept hostage by the accused. However things will get clear once the investigation of the matter will get over.04:52 PM
