Rs 50000 paid to appear for CHO examination - Rs 4 lakh for the entire deal | SOG arrests 6 people from Udaipur
A crack team from the SOG and ATS arrested a person from the Community Health Officer exam at BN School in Udaipur on Tuesday, 10 November. The imposter was attempting the paper in the guise of candidate. The team also arrested the actual candidate who was standing outside the examination center, with 5 other people. The police team have confiscated the OMR sheet and other documents found on the imposter.
Earlier during the day, VIjay Kumar, Udaipur head of the SOG and STF team got information that there was a fake candidate attempting the CHO examination, which was being conducted by the National Health Mission, Rajasthan. The call pertained to the exam center at BN School, Udaipur. One receiving this information, Subodh Jangid, SI, SOG at Udaipur reached BN School with his team and apprehended the imposter.
Investigations revealed that the imposter, Sangaram Chaudhary belongs to Badmer district. He was appearing for the CHO examination in Udaipur on the alias of Naresh Patidar, a candidate from Dungarpur.
During further interrogation, Sangaram revealed that he was attempting the examination on the insistence of his brother Devaram Chaudhary, and that they were paid a sum of RS 50,000 for this. He further revealed that his other accomplices were stationed outside the examination center, in two different cars. On getting this information the team rushed outside and apprehended the real candidate as well as Sangaram's accomplices.
The arrested persons included Naresh Patidar (actual candidate), resident of Dungerpur and Sangaram's accomplices, viz. Devaram Chaudhary, resident of Badmer; Jhumarlal Chaudhary, resident of Barmer, Rakesh Bheel, resident of Dungerpur and Anil Kumar Bishnoi, resident of Basni Nikuba, apart from the culprit Sangaram himself.
Rs 1 lakh in cash and mobiles were additionally recovered from those arrested. Interrogations are sure to lead to a bigger racket.
