Udaipur, November 9, 2024. A tourist from Thailand who was visiting Udaipur was shot at by unidentified people in the Sukher police station area early this morning.

According to the police, at around 6:00 am this morning, the Sukher station received a call from MB Hospital in Udaipur that a lady of foreign origin had been admitted with a bullet injury under her left armpit. The police went to the hospital and began a probe.

During interrogation, it was revealed that the woman was staying at a hotel in Mali Colony, Surajpole, where she had come with friends 4 to 5 days before. At around 1:00 am she left the hotel telling her friend that she was going out with another person. Police say that as per information, around 4:00-4:30am an unidentified car carrying 4-5 people dropped her outside Pacific Medical College and Hospital with injuries. An hour later, she was taken to MB Hospital in a Pacific Hospital ambulance and admitted.

Police is scanning CCTV footage and conducting inquiries to ascertain who the unidentified people were. Her friend is being interrogated, too. The injured woman is not able to give much information at this point.

She has been identified as a 24 year old from Thailand, as per her passport, and has been in touch with many people in Udaipur, say the police.
