Theft in Pratap Gaurav Kendra
-A good recce was done by 3 men as tourists during the day.
-By night, they entered the premise and broke open the chairty box and took the cash away.
Pratap Gaurav Kendra was burgled on Tuesday night, the charity box was broken and the cash taken away by 3 thieves. The entire theft has been recorded in the CCTV footage of the centre.
The theft episode took merely 10 minutes. There are 9 temples inside Pratap Gaurav Kendra. There is only one charity box which became the target of the thieves. 3 men who entered the centre as tourists during the day became thieves by night.
Ambamata police is trying to find the thieves based on the CCTV footage. The 3 accused were spotted on the footage entering the temple premise. They had visited the centre as tourists in the day time. After crawling to the temple area, one of them took off his shirt and wrapped a shawl around. Then he broke open the charity box, took the entire cash and wrapped it in the shawl and then the 3 escaped from the site.
DSP Mahendra Pareek, Ambamata SI Lakshman Ram Bishnoi, FSL officer Abhay Pratap Singh reached the centre with their teams and checked through the CCTV footage. The miscreants are now being searched for. It may be noted that the temple's charity box was targetted last year, too.
