Udaipur man released unhurt after being kidnapped for ransom in Dubai

Dubai Police swung into action after intervention from Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav.

 

Udaipur 7 October - The relatives of Pawan Das Vaishnav, hailing from Siyakeri village of Vallabh Nagar area  of Udaipur took a sigh of relief on Friday after he got released unhurt from the clutches of the people who kidnapped him and demanded Rs.15 lakhs as ransom money in Dubai.

Pawan was among many of the Indian youth that went to Dubai seeking a job and framed by the gangs involved in either duping them  or kidnapping them for money. 

Everyone in the victim's family lost all hopes of getting Pawan back alive from the kidnappers but it was his brother Jagdish Vaishnav who contacted the MP C.P Joshi for help who later escalated the matter to the Union minister Ashwini Vaishnav and took him to Delhi to meet him. there he provided all details to the minister in writing following which he took the cognizance  on the matter.

Jagdish told that the minister immediately  contacted the Dubai Embassy following which the Dubai police swung in action and launched an investigation into the matter. As soon as the news of Pawan's kidnapping flashed on news channels the kidnappers got scared and they themselves left him near the Dubai airport. 

As per Jagdish it was on 14th July 2023 when his brother Pawan and few other men  went to Dubai for job. There he joined a private company but after working  there few days he left the job and went to another place to work with a Sri Lankan man. The people there took his mobile phone and Pass Port away from him. They seldom allowed him to talk to the family members  and  him hostage at an isolated place.  

Jagdish further added that they often use to beat him, torture  him and collect all the information of his relatives from him. It was on 21st September when his brother Pawan called him and informed him about his kidnapping and also asked him to arrange Rs.7 lakhs the ransom amount demanded by the kidnappers .However later the increased the said amount to Rs.15 lakhs. The family members contacted every one for help but remained empty handed. Than they approached one of the BJP leader Suresh Vaishnav who paved the way and later approached the MP C.P Joshi. All the information about the victim was provided to the Embassy following which a police action was initiated, but before the police can arrest them the kidnappers themselves left the victim 500 meters away the Dubai airport and fled away.
