 Seedling Udaipur celebrates the 553rd Birth Anniversary of Guru Nanak Devji

 

Seedling Modern Public School, Udaipur, celebrated the 553rd birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Devji at their school premises with religious fervour, devotion and enthusiasm. To observe this auspicious occasion a special assembly was conducted. The assembly commenced with a prayer followed by the presentation of the customary “Shabad” by the Ragis who specially came all the way from Punjab to add charm to the celebration. Some students came forward to share useful information relating to the life and teaching of Gurunanak Dev ji.

GURU NANAK DEV JI was the first of the ten Sikh gurus and the founder of Sikhism. His birth anniversary is observed as ‘Gurpurab’ across the globe. Guru Nanak travelled widely to spread the message of oneness and compassion.

Finally the “Ek Onkar” prayer was chanted by the students in reverence and homage. The Principal Ms Keerti Maken gave a vote of thanks to the Ragis and and appreciated students for their heartfull performance and the Director Ms Moneeta Bakshi encouraged the students to follow upon what Guru Nanak Dev ji taught and lived for.

At last students and staff were distributed KADA PRASAD with the tune of “Satnaam Waheguru” which echoed and overpowered every soul in the school premises.
