The Mohan Lal Sukhadiya University of Udaipur will soon initiate a pilot project to facilitate quality education for students of the tribal belt of Udaipur and adjoining areas. This project will be first launched at Kherwara and will later be extended to the tribal students across Abu Road, Khamnor and Girva.

To address the purpose and formulate the strategy and curriculum, MLSU has constituted a committee under Dayaram Parmar, MLA from Kherwara. Parmar is also the government’s representative in the Board of Management Committee of the University. The Committee, headed by Parmar, will visit different areas of Kherwara and meet the students of senior secondary classes and educate them about various degree courses that will be made available through this outreach program.

Talking about the project, the Vice Chancellor of Mohan Lal University (MLSU) Dr. IV Trvedi said that those students who are unable to afford this kind of education due to their weak financial condition, shall be provided financial aid. He further added that these students will be provided free hostel facilities. Students interested inpursuing sports, will also be provided free training.

Dr. Trivedi said that if this pilot project is successful in Kherwara, it will be administered at the block level as well.
