CBSE Announces Expected Date for Release of Class 10 and 12 Results

The CBSE has decided to permanently discontinue the tradition of announcing merit lists

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is anticipated to declare the CBSE 10th and 12th Result 2024 after May 20, according to the official results portal of the Board. Students who have appeared in the CBSE Board Class 10 and 12 Exams 2024 will be able to access their results from the official website at cbse.gov.in or results.cbse.nic.in.

Exam Schedule and Participation

This year, the CBSE Class 10 exams were held from February 15 to March 13, while the Class 12 exams took place from February 15 to April 2, 2024. Both exams were conducted in a single shift, from 10:30 AM to 01:30 PM on all days. A total of 39 lakh students from around 26 different countries appeared for the exams this year. In the national capital alone, 5.80 lakh students participated in the CBSE Board exams 2024, conducted across 877 examination centres.

Discontinuation of Merit Lists

The CBSE has decided to permanently discontinue the tradition of announcing merit lists for top-performing students in both Class 10 and 12 examinations. This decision aims to reduce the prevalence of “unhealthy competition” among students.

Verification of Marks and Re-Evaluation

Students dissatisfied with their results can apply for verification of marks on cbseresults.nic.in, from the fourth day till the eighth day after the results are announced by the CBSE Board, as per the official notice. The window to apply for verification of marks will remain open for five days.

Additionally, students can apply for a re-evaluation of answer scripts from the 24th day from the date of declaration of results till the 25th day, spanning two days.
