Important development for Term 1 CBSE Board Exam - OMR Sheet Finalised
In an important development, the CBSE has finalised the OMR Sheet for the Term 1 Board Examinations for Class 10 and 12 that are beginning from 16 November. The examination per subject will be for 90 minutes and will consist of 60 questions. The questions will be in the MCQ (Multiple Choice Questions) format. Around 3.6 million students are expected to sit for the CBSE Board Term 1 papers.
In the newly designed OMR sheet that was finalised today, the CBSE has announced the sheet will need to be filled with a pen. There is now and additional box and a separate column. This will do away with the candidate trying to erase a wrong entry and the students will have an option to indicate the quetions that they have skipped.
The OMR Sheet will be common for all subjects. Each question will have four options "a, "b", "c" and "d". The OMR sheet will also have 60 ovals for 60 questions. As per the CBSE Examination Controller, this additional column will have 60 ovals for 60 questions. If a question paper has 50 questions and a candidate skips any of those, the corresponding oval(s) in this column will be filled by him/ her.
Another important step is the the CBSE will evaluate the OMR sheet at the exam centre on the same day and will hand over / upload the OMR to the regional office.
