CBSE had earlier announced that portals were being opened where teachers could upload marks for class 10 students. The results were to be declared by June 30. The deadline has now been extended in the wake of rising covid cases.
The safety of teachers is as important as that of students. With the covid cases rising per day and the pandemic taking its toll on lives, CBSE has announced that the deadline for uploading class 10 marks has been extended to 30th June. The results would be declared in July.
The schools will be submitting marks on the basis of internal assessments for which a marking scheme has already been shared with teachers and students. Several states are under strict lockdown; hence CBSE has relaxed the timelines.
It may also be noted that a decision will be taken today regarding Class 12 board exams. Students, teachers and parents are eagerly waiting for the Education department’s decision as fear has prevailed among all because of the new drastic wave of corona virus.
