The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released a notice regarding the practical exams, project assessments, and internal assessments for the 2024-25 session. These exams will be conducted for students of Classes 10 and 12 in winter-bound schools.

What are Winter-Bound Schools?

Winter-bound schools are schools in areas that get heavy snowfall during winter. These schools usually have a shorter academic year and may close for long periods because of bad weather.

Practical Exam Dates Announced

According to the notice, the practical exams for winter-bound schools will take place from November 5, 2024 (Tuesday) to December 5, 2024 (Thursday). It is important to note that these dates are only for winter-bound schools, and a separate circular will be issued for regular session schools.

Practical Assessments for All Schools from January 2025

As per CBSE’s Examination Bye-Laws and Scheme of Studies, practical assessments for all affiliated schools in India and abroad will begin on January 1, 2025.

Important Instructions for Schools

CBSE has directed all schools to finalize their list of candidates, ensuring that only students registered in the online LOC (List of Candidates) are allowed to appear for these assessments. Schools must also contact the Regional Office for appointing external examiners and observers. Additionally, they are expected to complete the exams on time and promptly send answer books to their respective regional offices.
