CBSE to establish regional office in UAE

The decision will benefit students and educators in CBSE-affiliated schools across GCC nations

 

On November 2, 2023, a significant event unfolded at the Consulate of India in Dubai. Sh. Dharmendra Pradhan, the esteemed Union Minister of Education, Skill Development, and Entrepreneurship for the Government of India, made a historic announcement. This announcement addressed a longstanding demand from overseas CBSE schools, and it carries the promise of transformation for education in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.

In his address, Sh. Dharmendra Pradhan revealed a game-changing decision to establish a new CBSE Regional Office in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This decision has been long-awaited and is set to revolutionize the educational landscape for students and educators in CBSE-affiliated schools across GCC nations. The opening of this new CBSE Regional Office represents a remarkable milestone in the realm of education. It will play a pivotal role in streamlining operations, optimizing administrative processes, and fostering a conducive environment for teaching and learning within CBSE schools operating in GCC countries.

In his address, the Minister extended heartfelt congratulations to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and the Indian schools in the UAE for their outstanding accomplishments in the field of education. He commended them for not only upholding the standards of Indian education but also for building a commendable reputation for India on the international stage.

Sh. Pradhan encouraged school leaders to commit to the education of the next generation, following the vision of the National Education Policy 2020, starting from the early Bal Vatika level.
