The Rajasthan Staff Selection Board successfully conducted the Common Eligibility Test (Graduate Level) in Udaipur. ADM Deependra Singh Rathore, confirmed that the district administration made adequate arrangements for a peaceful exam experience.

A total of 84 exam centers were set up in the city, with 53,518 candidates registered for both shifts. Out of these, 49,305 candidates attended the exam.

According to the ADM's report:

First Shift: (9:00 am to 12:00pm)

• Registered Candidates: 26,759 
• Candidates Present: 24,547 
•  Candidates Absent: 2,212 
• Attendance Rate: 91.73%

Second Shift: (3:00 PM to 6:00 PM)

• Registered Candidates: 26,759 
• Candidates Present: 24,758 
• Candidates Absent: 2,001 
•  Attendance Rate: 92.52%

Breakdown of Bus Causes Delays for Candidates

Many candidates from Banswara were traveling to Udaipur by a roadways bus to take the exam at their designated center. Unfortunately, around noon, the bus broke down near the Jaisamand police checkpoint due to a technical issue. This breakdown prevented the candidates from arriving on time for the exam.

The candidates shared their frustration as they waited for other buses at the Jaisamand bus stand. They needed to report to the exam center between 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM for the second shift. By the time they reached Jaisamand town, it was already 1:00 PM, forcing them to return home without taking the exam.

Increased Traffic Load on Local Routes

Due to the exam, the Roadways operated 76 buses to accommodate the candidates. Around 7,000 candidates traveled to various centers. The highest traffic was on the Banswara route, where 25 buses were operated. The distribution of buses on other routes included:

• Dungarpur Route:22 buses
• Pratapgarh Route: 9 buses
• Sirohi Route: 12 buses
• Abu Road Route:8 buses

Extra Buses Were Deployed 

• Banswara Route:14 extra buses
• Sirohi Route: 3 extra buses
• Abu Road Route:3 extra buses
• Pratapgarh Route:4 extra buses

ADM Rathore announced that CET (Undergraduate Level) will take place today on September 28,2024 in two shifts from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. All examination centers have made the necessary arrangements, and comprehensive security measures and other preparations are in place.
