Udaipur, Oct 25, 2025 - To curb the unregulated functioning and arbitrariness of coaching institutes in the State, the government has implemented the Rajasthan Coaching Centre (Control and Regulation) Act, 2025.

Under this Act, a Coaching Regulatory Authority will be established to oversee and monitor the operations of coaching centres, and at the district level, a committee chaired by the District Collector will be formed. A web portal and helpline will also be set up. Each coaching centre must have at least 100 students.

A fine of up to Rs 2 lakh will be imposed for violation of rules.

Readers may recall that the government has been under a lot of growing pressure to regulate coaching institutes, especially in Kota and other cities, owing to rising stress levels, suicides and unregulated fee structures in the coaching industry.
