IIM Udaipur incubates Guwahati based IITian StartUp TuitionBud
Opportunities have been aplenty in the last 10 months of the COVID lockdown, especially in the technology domain. TuitionBud is one such startup that has flourished with a service that fulfilled the need of the lockdown.
A team of engineers from IIT Kharagpur, under the mentorship of the IIM Udaipur Incubation center, developed an online platform for tutors to set up an online learning delivery platform – TuitionBud.
Aditya Agarwal, an engineer from IIT Kharagpur, who is also the Director at TuitionBud, in his conversation with Times of India said that the idea is to create a comprehensive solution to improve education delivery across India – including the remote areas. His platform assists teachers interested in delivering online classes to reach a larger number of people, without the need for setting up a self managed technology platform.
TuitionBud has a complete range of online education delivery features, viz. two-way live classes, content sharing, whiteboard, online quiz and discussion forums in place on its platform, that the tutor can avail.
Aditya and his team realized that with online platforms being the only choice for learning delivery during lockdown, the tutors did not have organized platforms in place and were relying upon disconnected options such as Google, WhatsApp and Zoom in order to ensure continuity. Other products were either technically complex or were not largely affordable.
