Allegations are being raised in the process of recruitment of Assistant Registrar at Mohan Lal Sukhadia University. The irregularities have emerged in recruitment of the 3 posts of Asst. Registrar.
University had released a list of 166 eligible candidates on 19-Jan. Post that a new list was released that showed 69 of those applicants as being ineligible and hence taken out of that list. The criteria for the new list did not treat experience as guest faculty as an admissible experience despite the university recruitment norms not giving any clear guideline towards the same.
Registrar Himmat Singh Bhati said that the new list has been issued under his name despite he not being consulted at all on the same and this should not have been done. Vice Chancellor Dr JP Sharma said that all letters are issued under the name of Registrar and Bhati was on leave on that day and hence the list was released by the person who was officiating in his position. Two committees were formed for releasing the list – while the first committee found 166 suitable applicants, the second committee found only 97 people with credentials that met the criterion.
Applicants are alleging that the list has been curtailed to give favours to friends and family members of certain officials and there are definite irregularities in the process.
