NTA Releases New Guidelines for JEE Main 2025 Candidates
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released new guidelines for candidates registering for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2025. This decision comes after candidates raised concerns regarding technical issues during Aadhaar Card authentication.
Aadhaar Authentication Process Modified
Candidates faced difficulties in authenticating their Aadhaar Card due to name mismatches with Class 10th certificates. To address this, NTA has updated the online registration form. If candidates encounter a pop-up message after selecting "Confirm Name as per Aadhaar," they should close it. A new window will appear, allowing them to proceed with Aadhaar authentication. Candidates are required to enter their name exactly as it appears on their Aadhaar Card.
Name on Both Documents Captured
During the Aadhaar authentication process, both the name on the educational certificate and Aadhaar card will be captured. This will allow candidates to continue their application without any issues.
JEE Main 2025 Schedule
The JEE Main 2025 will be conducted in two phases. The first session is scheduled between January 22 and 31, 2025. The second session will take place in April 2025.
Changes in Exam Structure
This year, NTA has removed the optional questions in Section B of the JEE Main paper. Additionally, the number of attempts for JEE Advanced has been increased to a maximum of three attempts over three consecutive years.
