Change in Rajasthan's Education System: State-Level Exams for Classes 9th to 12th
Only private schools affiliated with RBSE to include in this system
November 6, 2024: The Education Department has announced major change, with exams for classes 9th to 12th now set to be conducted at the state level (common exam) rather than the district level. Half-yearly and final exam questions papers for class 9th and 11th will be same for all district. Half-yearly and final exams syllabus for class 9th and 11th will likely be declared this month.
New Examination System
All moderation will also be conducted at state-level. Tasks like paper printing and tenders will also be handled at the state level, removing the district's role in these processes. However, the exams will still be conducted at the district level. This change is expected to be implemented from the December half-yearly exams. Education Director Ashish Modi has issued orders to all district education officers, instructing them to report student numbers for both government and RBSE-affiliated private schools for classes 9 to 12 on the Shala Darpan portal.
Inculsion of Private Schools
Officials have stated that only private schools affiliated with the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE) will hold common exams alongside government schools.
