Rajasthan Government on Reopening of Schools

Reportedly the schools were to reopen on the 15th or 16th of July. Are they reopening?

When will the physical classes resume for kids?

Is it really safe to reopen schools when the expected 3rd wave is going to be more of a disaster?

Until 2 days back, Rajasthan government had not given any directives regarding the reopening of schools. Some of the private schools had, however, decided that they would reopen the schools by the 15th or 16th of July.

The only point is that children are losing out a lot on the academic front in the absence of offline classes. Online classes are not as beneficial as the physical classroom sessions, yet they cannot be ruled out as online classes are the only mode for imparting some education to the children.

The Rajasthan government has given its decision of reopening the schools in August. The Home Department, however, is not in favour of reopening the schools till all students are vaccinated. And we agree!!

The online mode has many disadvantages, for eg. children are facing health issues because they are glued to mobile or laptop screens for hours on stretch. Their eyes and their bodies are at risk as the eyes start paining after some time and no physical activity or being in a confined space in front of the gadgets is giving rise to pain in the bodies.

The Rajasthan government has given its decision of reopening the schools in August. The Home Department, however, is not in favour of reopening the schools till all students are vaccinated. Sensibly speaking, the schools must not reopen till all the students are vaccinated. Basically the students must enter the schools only when both the doses of vaccines are administered as the immunity building time demands at least 2 weeks.
