Rajasthan University (RU) is starting its admission process from June 1, 2024, as announced by officials. This year, Rajasthan University intends to release a single merit list encompassing all constituent colleges. Following the release of the initial list, a counselling session will be conducted to allocate the remaining vacant seats.

Students will have a window of 3 to 4 days to submit required documents before the declaration of the merit list. Following document verification, fees submission will process. 

"This year, we are trying to reduce the time taken for the admission process. The online application forms are likely to be available from June 1 and students will get a 10-day window to fill the applications. After this, the merit list will be prepared by respective colleges which is likely to be uploaded on the university website by a June 15. With two or three merit lists, the admission process usually takes up to two months, we are trying to reduce this time and complete the process at the earliest. For seats that remain vacant after the first merit list, colleges will conduct counselling that their own level for different subjects." - Ram Avatar Sharma, convenor of Central Admissions Board

Officials have disclosed that eligibility criteria will govern the selection of students for the counselling process, ensuring seats are allocated accordingly.

Moreover, the university administration has confirmed a 10% hike in fees and a corresponding increase of 10% in seats across undergraduate courses.
