Students seek more time for RAS Mains exam preparation
The main exam is on January 27 and 28, 2024...
The RAS Main Exam, the biggest test by the Rajasthan Public Service Commission, is scheduled for January 27-28. However, candidates, especially over 1000 from Udaipur, are requesting more time for preparation. They are demonstrating in Jaipur, emphasizing the need to postpone the exam due to insufficient preparation time. They haven't decided to change the exam schedule yet. RPSC held the RAS preliminary exam on October 1, 2023, and announced the results on October 20, 2023. The main exam dates were then released after the preliminary results.
The main exam is on January 27 and 28, 2024. Candidates have only three months to prepare, but usually, they get 7 to 10 months. They say this time isn't enough. In 2021, there was a 5-month prep time, in 2018, it was 10 months, and in 2016, 7 months. Candidates feel there was enough time for prep in those exams.
Government workers were busy with election duties. Candidates mention that many government officials will be in the main exam. Although they passed the preliminary exam, their prep for the main exam isn't strong. These officials were on duty during the legislative elections, so they couldn't get enough time for exam preparation.
