Students with 30% marks will now be qualified for JEE Advanced
JEE Advanced eligibility expanded...
JEE Main 2024 starts on January 24. Over 8 thousand students in Udaipur have applied. Their goal is to pass the qualifying cutoff and join JEE Advanced to get into prestigious IITs. According to education expert Dev Sharma, analyzing the general category cutoff from 2019 to 2023 reveals interesting trends. In 2021, the cutoff was at a minimum level, standing at 87.8992241 percentile. However, in 2023, it reached the highest level, hitting 90.7788642 percentile.
When these percentiles are converted into scores, it creates a surprising situation. The shift from the minimum to the maximum percentile suggests significant variations in the cutoff levels over the years.
In 2021, about 78 out of 300 students, and in 2023, about 90 out of 300 students who did well in JEE Main, qualified for JEE Advanced. If a general category student gets around 30% marks in JEE Main, they can go on to the Advanced level.
