The two-day special training for teachers at Government Fateh Senior Secondary School Surajpol concluded on Tuesday, December 19,2023. The training covered various aspects, including instructing teachers on effective communication with children, emphasizing the importance of providing a comprehensive self-introduction when engaging with parents and addressing the needs of individuals from rural backgrounds.

Teachers were also guided on maintaining a detailed understanding of the facilities available, along with the overall plan. This included practical skills such as interacting with villagers and being well-informed about the amenities provided. The training aimed to enhance the teachers abilities in fostering positive communication with students, establishing connections with parents and adapting to diverse backgrounds, ultimately contributing to an enriched educational experience for all involved.

This event emphasized the need to commence the identification of children who are deaf, blind or facing mental health challenges starting from January, 2024. The objective is to select such children and enroll them in schools, ensuring they can avail themselves of the benefits outlined in the State Education Board's plan.

Chetan Paneri, the Principal of Fateh School, highlighted that by reaching out to villages, locating these children can be a straightforward process. However, it is crucial to raise awareness among parents first, enabling the connection of these children to schools.

In conjunction with this event, specialists delivered essential information to teachers through separate sessions. This collaborative effort aims to enhance the understanding and capabilities of educators in addressing the needs of children with sensory or mental health challenges.

As of now, a total of 2800 disabled children have been identified across the entire district. This figure is expected to rise during the campaign commencing in January.
