MBBS Courses: Rajasthan’s Old Medical Colleges Remain in High Demand

Udaipur is also among the list...

The top medical colleges in Udaipur, Kota, Ajmer, Jaipur, Jodhpur, and Bikaner are highly sought after by MBBS aspirants. The list of available seats, released after the first round of NEET counselling, shows limited vacancies in these colleges.

According to the Chairman’s office for NEET-UG medical and dental admissions at SMS Medical College, a small number of seats remain in government colleges for the second round of counselling.

Udaipur has 18 out of 194 government seats still available, Kota has 35 out of 194, Ajmer has 21 out of 193, and Jaipur has 11 out of 209 seats left. Jodhpur and Bikaner have 22 and 21 available seats out of 208, respectively.

At the start of the NEET counselling process, Rajasthan had 5,204 MBBS seats across all categories, including government quota, NRI, and management seats. After round 1, 2,285 seats are still available for round 2 admissions. Out of the 2,071 government seats offered in round 1, 534 remain open for the second round. Of these, 128 are in the six established colleges, while the rest are in medical colleges run by the Rajasthan Medical Education Society (RajMES).
